On the Way to the Temple

This weekend was very special for our family. With the finalization of the adoption we were able to take Emma to the Atlanta temple to have her sealed to us. The worst part of the whole experience was that it was raining so hard outside that we didn't get too many pictures other than that it was perfect. Grandma Lorenz went into the youth center with Emma so she would know somebody then Grandma Goold was able to hold Emma during the sealing. Emma was so good and just looked around and smiled at everyone around. We also had some friends, the Robison's come up to her sealing. It was wonderful. We are now an eternal family.
Here is a picture of Emma in her dress before going to the temple. More pictures will be coming. I had my friend take the pictures so we will get them soon.

Weekend of Fun

This last week was a great week. We had Grandma Lorenz and Grandma and Grandpa Goold come visit us in Georgia. It rained all weekend but that didn't stop us from having fun. We went to Atlanta on Friday and went to the CNN Center for lunch then off to the World of Coca Cola. Emma loved the Coke bear. She saw him and started laughing and wanted to go see him. Once it was our turn to get our picture taken she just wanted to touch him and play with him. She was so cute. We were having a hard time getting her to look at the camera. The picture doesn't do justice of how much fun she had with that bear. She was just laughing and would have stayed with the bear for hours.

Emma Louise Lorenz

Today we went to court and met with the judge to finalize the adoption. She is now officially ours. She was being really cute and fun for the judge and even got to go up to see the judge at his bench. Once it was all over as you can tell in the picture she was pretty tired by the time we got home. We are so blessed to have Emma in our life and she brings us lots of happiness and joy. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers in helping us get to this point. We can't be more excited to be parents of this beautiful little girl.
Today Emma is 7 months old and continues to fill our life with laughter and fun. She is rolling all over the floor, loves to give kisses and talks nonstop all day even though I have no idea what she is talking about.

Bad Hair Day

I didn't know that a 6 month old could have such a bad night. But I think that she is still pretty cute even with crazy hair.

Lee has started his Masters. He is still doing his Career Course for the Army but to help his career he needs his Masters so he is getting it through University of Maryland University College. He can do most of the classes on line and some of them here at Fort Gordon. He is getting a Masters of Information Telecomunications Management. We had to take a picture of him on his first day of class.

We made it 6 Months

Emma is now 6 months old (as you can see I was trying my hand at making plastic canvas blocks and they didn't turn out too bad). She is now sitting up on her own pretty well. We also have a court date to finalize the adoption and she will soon take on our name and according to the state she will be our daughter legally. Emma still is a great baby and loves to babble all the time. She also has her daddy wrapped around her finger. When Lee walks in the door from work she gets so excited because she knows that she gets his undivided attention for at least the next 10 minutes. The problem that she has is when we go to Fort Gordon and are around all the other soldiers with the same uniform that her dad wears, she gets excited and it isn't her dad so then she is really frustrated.

Emma on the Move

Emma is learning to crawl slowly. She gets up on her knees and bounces then can't figure out what to do. I have been trying to help her but she would rather do the "Superman" pose. This video was taken on the 18th of February.
